Love is what we do. It’s primarily a verb - not a noun.

Stewardship
At Trinity we increased the number of pledging units we had by 26% and our amount pledged by 9%. We erased our budget deficit due to a combination of budget cuts and enhanced revenue from capital resources. At Emmanuel we reached a balanced budget from a budget deficit of approximately $95,000.00 while paying off a $1.6mm debt within 3 years. I helped Christ Church balance its budget from a deficit of approximately $360,000.00 the year before I arrived. During the same period we had contributions to our endowment of approximately $1.3mm. At the Church of the Epiphany we realized an average increase in the amount per pledge of over 30% for each of the years I was there.

Membership Development
At Trinity we have turned aroued a multi-year attendence slide (they had lost approximately 66% of their 2017 ASA in five years) to increase ASA by approximately 22%. We to welcomed at least 100 new members per year at Emmanuel due to military re-locations, etc. I’ve learned to do this though a variety of evangelism and welcoming processes. At Christ Church - Detroit we re-discovered a passion for engagement in the local community which led to an up-tick in younger people worshiping with us. At the Church of the Epiphany evangelism efforts were centered on inviting friends and neighbors to participate in our extensive outreach programs.

Outreach
At Trinity we re-visIoned our Outreach to focus on food in our immediate neighborhood, increasing volunteer hours, money allocated and people served. I helped Emmanuel build a school in Costa Rica while strengthening our commitment to serving all children at our own campus day school. I led Christ Church to start a reading program for neighborhood children as well as a walk-in- center for local homeless men and women. I helped the Church of the Epiphany build a habitat house a year and feed over 2000 school aged children a day during the summers.

Christian Education
I have designed and led various adult education groups including Spiritual Practices, Bible Studies, and Biblical Greek. I have led ‘canned’ groups from Group Publishing, Emmaus, and Alpha. I have also led youth and children’s education events as acting Director of Christian Education at St. George’s church where we had approximately 100 students in both Sunday morning and Weekday afternoon programs.

Pastoral Care
Praying with a woman as she grieves the death of the son who tried to kill her, helping a young man face his death and celebrating with a young couple at the birth of their daughter, these are the kinds of Pastoral Care issues I see every day. I do this through hospital visits as needed and at least one home visit or call a day.

Preaching
I prepare and deliver biblically focused sermons. In these sermons I try to communicate how God’s ongoing love for each of us is just as vital today as it was when the texts were developed.
